Parts Module Support Documents

Baseplan Enterprise offers a repository for all the serialised and non-serialised stock items allowing you to purchase, track, consume and sell items. Several processes are available to streamline crucial warehousing operations, such as stock forecasting and stock reordering. This feature also integrates with other key areas in the system, including Rental, Service, Customer/Supplier Invoicing and Purchase Order management.

The Stock module has been designed with a view to simplify day-to-day processes for stock controllers and warehouse personnel. This module offers a fully integrated Reordering process that works at two levels – Basic and Advanced. The basic stock reorder plans are generated by analysing consumption levels using velocity codes. The advanced stock order plans are generated using complex financial modelling that allows smoothing of stock requirements to account for seasonal fluctuations in usage.

The Stocktake process allows stock counts to be completed simultaneously across multiple locations. The Variance report quickly helps identify differences between the expected and actual stock quantities, complete recounts, and make adjustments if necessary.

The Predelivery Wizard is a step-by-step feature within the Stock module that guides users through the process of preparing serialised stock items for sale and integrates with the Sales Order process to sell serialised items.

Stock movements can be better controlled and managed using stock transfers. Branches can easily request, receive or reject transfers from a single screen.

Purchase Orders

The Rental processes in Baseplan Enterprise are enhanced further with the support of Transport Planning and Allocation capabilities in the system. The Transport module provides complete visibility of planned vs completed activities through the Day Sheet. Transport coordinators can better manage Transport Runs with the ability to create Transport Requests before delivery and pickup dockets. Separate dockets can be created if the items on a request or docket have been sourced from different branches/sub-rental suppliers. Coordinators can also process partial deliveries and pickups without delaying the billing for other items on the docket.

With the introduction of BMA , drivers and operators can now receive and action transport dockets directly from their mobile devices.
