Rentals Module Support Documents

Baseplan Enterprise provides a structured set of extensive features to manage and streamline both rental and sub-rental operations.

Rental

The Rental module offers the capability to create rental quotes and rental contracts for new and existing customers, without the hassles of complex paperwork. The Planning Calendar helps rental controllers manage rental commitments better through a comprehensive snapshot of equipment and operator reservations – all from a single screen. Items typically rented out together can be bundled into packages and added to contracts.

Baseplan Enterprise also offers a wide variety of rental rate types and flexible billing methods. Rate hierarchies available in the system allow preferred rates and discounts to be charged at the Customer, Equipment or Location levels.

The Rental module comes fully integrated with several other key areas in the system, such as Service. For instance, inspections can be automatically created for equipment in both pre and post rental phases, and service and rental charges can be billed together.

Transport

The Rental processes in Baseplan Enterprise are enhanced further with the support of Transport Planning and Allocation capabilities in the system. The Transport module provides complete visibility of planned vs completed activities through the Day Sheet. Transport coordinators can better manage Transport Runs with the ability to create Transport Requests before delivery and pickup dockets. Separate dockets can be created if the items on a request or docket have been sourced from different branches/sub-rental suppliers. Coordinators can also process partial deliveries and pickups without delaying the billing for other items on the docket.

With the introduction of BMA , drivers and operators can now receive and action transport dockets directly from their mobile devices.
